Ways to Gain More Twitter Followers for Your Business | Greyphin

We’ve talked about Instagram and Facebook for your business, so it only makes sense we move on to another social media giant: Twitter. If you’re a small business that’s unfamiliar with the ins and outs of social media strategy, then you’ve come to the right place. In this post, we’re going to highlight some awesome ways to gain more followers on Twitter for your business page! Check out these tips below:

Post Frequently

After reading our Facebook and Instagram blog posts, you’re probably tired of hearing this tip. But it’s true! Tweeting frequently on your business page is a great away to grab attention and gain Twitter followers. The big difference is this: on Facebook and Instagram, you may only want to post 1-3 times a day. But when it comes to Twitter, more is better; so Tweeting up to 20 times in a day is possible, but you may want to stick to about 3-7 times per day while you’re starting out. Of course, it all depends on how well your followers are responding, so use your best judgement here.

Use Eye-Catching Content

When you post aesthetically pleasing content to your Twitter page, your Twitter followers are more likely to engage and share those posts rather than just text posts. Feel free to share informative text posts, but be sure to include some type of graphic, video, or image to go along with it. You may also consider retweeting interesting posts from accounts you follow than you think your audience would be interested in seeing. Posting a mix of your own content and curated content is a great way to capture the interest of current and potential Twitter followers. Ideas for visual content include: videos, photos, images, infographics, and GIFs!

Interact with Twitter Followers

As a business, you want your past, current, and potential customers to know that you care about them. The best way to get that point across via Twitter is to reply to comments on your posts. You can also tag other accounts that you think are relevant or would find your specific post interesting. When you tag other accounts, you have the chance of having them tag you in a post of their own, meaning you could reach even more potential Twitter followers!

People may also send you direct messages to ask questions about your products or services, so we recommend answering them to the best of your abilities. Like they say, customer service is important, and you want to show your customers that their needs matter to you.

Use Hashtags

When you think of hashtags, you most likely think of Twitter first. Hashtags are important for your posts because they allow Twitter followers to find your content by searching for specific hashtags that they’re interested in. For example, if you’re a digital marketing company like Greyphin, you may want to use related hashtags like #digitalmarketing. Remember, you can always use more than one hashtag per post, which is actually recommended to increase your potential of gaining new followers.

Share Your Twitter on Other Social Accounts

Chances are if someone’s following you on Facebook or Instagram, then they’ll follow you on Twitter if given the chance. A wonderful way to gain more Twitter followers is to cross promote your Twitter business page on your other social media accounts. In addition to sharing your Twitter link on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more, you’ll also want to include a link to your Twitter on your website as well.

Always keep in mind this: your success on Twitter will be different than that of another business. It’s all up to you! These are just some guidelines of basic ways for you to increase your Twitter followers. From there, it’s your job to notice what your followers are interacting with and what types of posts seem to get you noticed the most.
