Hello, friends! Here’s to another blog post about - you guessed it - search engine optimization! While we’ve been unpacking tons of information on you in our SEO Snap videos and corresponding blog posts, there are more things that we’re here to teach you. This blog post, based off of season 1, episode 7 of SEO Snap is about search queries!
What are search queries? Well, that’s a great question. A web search query is the question, sentence, or string of words that an internet user types into a search box on a search engine. These search queries contain keywords that help people find what they’re looking for on the internet.
At this point you’re probably wondering why you should care - and the reason is this; on average, Google receives over 63,000 search queries every single second! If your jaw isn’t dropped then maybe we didn’t say that loud enough. 63,000 is a whole lotta web searches. But how do you drive customers away from competitors and to your website?
Well, through SEO, of course! In order to drive visitors to your website through web searches, you’re going to want to make sure that your website employs the proper search engine optimization tactics. This means that your site should use keywords, meta descriptions, page titles, blogs, and image optimization to ensure you’re reaching as many potential customers as possible. Because when you use the right SEO, you increase the visibility of your website on the SERPs, which, in turn, will increase your site traffic.
